In 1993, Vladimir Yashke was fascinated by the technique of screen printing. He artisanal method produced paper stencils (separate stencil for each color) and manually filled the picture with water colors with a sponge-pad. Because of the low technology and high complexity of the process the author was rarely able to do more than three prints of each story, and often the work was printed in a single instance.
In 2009, the Studio hand-printing B&f suggested Vladimir Yashke to make some kind of "reprint" the reconstruction of all these works in the screen printing technique, which is essentially nothing more than a high-tech variation on the same screen-printing.
In total there are 10 "stencil" of the works of Vladimir Yashke. We were able to find and adapt to chalcography technique 9 of them, the traces of the tenth known works (provisional title "Landscape with a blue sky") today lost.
