About the artist: Burak Alexander Filippovich (1921 - 1997)

Honored artist of Russia, Professor.
Member of the Union of artists of the USSR (1951), the Honoured artist of the RSFSR (1964). Head of the Department of drawing, painting and sculpture Sverdlovsk architectural Institute (1968-1989). Professor. Worked mainly in the genres of landscape and genre painting. He wrote more than 3000 works. Permanent participant of art exhibitions in Russia and abroad (in particular his exhibitions were held in the gallery Marco Catrina in Italy). Works are kept in the State Tretyakov gallery, Ekaterinburg Museum of fine arts and other museums and private collections.
