N. P. Glushchenko, "Over the sea in the spring", 1974
Glushchenko Nikolai Petrovich (1901-1977) - Ukrainian painter. He graduated from Berlin high school of fine arts in Charlottenburg (1924). Lived abroad in France and Spain (until 1936). Exhibited at the "salon d'automne and the Salon of the independents. Staged solo exhibitions in Paris, Milan, Bucharest, Prague, Stockholm, Rome (life occurred 32 solo exhibitions). Taught in CHS, Professor HIC (1939). Was awarded the order of red banner of Labor, had the title of people's artist of Ukraine and people's artist of USSR, laureate of State prize. T. G. Shevchenko. His paintings are in many Ukrainian and foreign museums and private collections. One of the most famous Ukrainian artists.
