In the monograph the results of the study of the ancient painted pottery from the Northern black sea coast, is characterized by the dynamics of its revenues in some areas of this region VII-IV centuries BC, defined its role and importance in the history and culture of the local population. The monograph has enabled us to establish the role of painted pottery in the history and culture of the northern Black Sea region in the 7th_4th centuries BC, to determine from which Mediterranean centres it was imported, and identify the historical conditions that promoted or prevented its distribution among the Greek and native population of the region. New finds from recent archeological excavations and collections of museums are included in a circle of sources. The book is supplied by illustrative tables.

Arimaspi (other-GK. Ἀριμασποί, lat. Arimaspi) - mythical people in the extreme North-East of the ancient world. According to Herodotus, it was the one-eyed people (as does the word "arimas" Scythian language), constantly fighting with the griffins in the desire to take those protected gold. Some researchers believe that arimaspi can escape the idea of actually existing South Siberian nomadic Scythian people of the bronze age[1].
