May Ilya efimik for fun himself depicted in a suit of Rembrandt's era? It was too similar ;)
But seriously - my life can't read "Reny" in the signature. I see it, if it Latin, or attempt to reproduce the signature Repin person not familiar with the Cyrillic alphabet. |

And so, Repin copied Rembrandt, in the Tretyakov gallery hangs a copy of "Portrait of an elderly woman". |

What is characteristic for these signatures, which makes them recognizable? Swinging shackle initial, as if closing it in a semicircle. The dash over "p". The stroke under the name coming from her final letters. These features You will find in most Repin signatures that time (and not only). Nothing in the portrait presented on attribution. My opinion - we are a Dutch painter from the 19th century, imitating the portrait painters of the 17th century ([B]Joz @1,@said that this picture was sold in the spring of the current year in the Netherlands - I think he knows it, like me). In the signature guess typical for Dutch surnames ending-ens.
