Of the subjects eCatalog Sotheby's Russian Art. Mr.-y, a quote from RBC: The big players in the market, including the Russians and not previously bought Russian paintings will now invest in paintings by old masters of Holland, Italy and France.
I found an article in "Forbes" for 2006. As you can see the trend is not new, but is resuscitated only

Trend is not new, that's for sure. I was intrigued by one thing only: where they found these the major players-not-Russians , bought Russian painting?
In my opinion, this animal is found in nature less than ognemechuschy bonnakon (see story about medieval Bestiary):)

Greetings to you all from Moscow, where I arrived yesterday. It's snowing!

Probably, "they" are referring to non-Russians, like the rich New York dentists with Russia's roots, but the U.S. nationality, who gladly buy Repin, Aivazovsky and 30-40 tons of dollars "(remember the quote 10 years ago, though I can not remember the source)

"The rich New York dentists with Russia's roots", and Repin, Aivazovsky's not buying, "home for the family"-expensive, do not hang in the clinic, clients do not understand, run away ... : D

Shot from the movie "Window to Paris":

- And on the other side Take me for example ... I have everything the car, apartment, work, family ... everything is there - is packed full! And here aches ... the farther, the more ... - Oh, I was here - in Australia, Hawaii, Florida was in Japan ... So what? "The same thing that all this is to look on the box in St. Petersburg!" Here I swear, I do not need anything ... take me now, it's all ... France, Australia, wheelbarrow-shmachku All hell, just want that my Nevsky, my Finnish, my Lenin Square ...

- How to go?

- Yes it is still ...

- No! Not everything is old ... it means this: DUY Sadovaya, past Mars right ...

- The Fontanka?

- No! Not on the Fontanka, the moss ... moss on to our rumochnaia home!

- Then Click the left and to the end! "
probably nevspominaemy author quotes meant such a pulse
