Russian and Latvian artist Karl E. ( Johannovich ?) Rosen was born on January 28, 1864 in Jelgava . At the end of the local secondary school went to Petepburg , where he continued his education at the Imperial Academy of Arts F.Burova , Shishkin and Yu.Klevera class landscape painting. Exhibition featuring the artist held at the Academy in 1906 , 1908 , 1912 and 1914 .
