Pushkin Museum. AS Pushkin opens to the public on the second building of the Department of Private Collections , which this year celebrates its 20th anniversary. An initiative of the famous literary critic and collector Ilya Samoilovych Silberstein and current president of the Museum Irina Antonova , the Division facilitated the formation of a new relationship between collectors and museums.

Since its inception in its funds from donors received about 40 collections and individual gifts. Currently , the museum collection has over seven thousand works of Russian and Western European art XV-XX centuries.

Among the collections presented in the permanent exhibition of the ALC : Meeting IS Silberstein in which more than two thousand paintings and drawings ; collection of Russian realistic painting of the second half of XIX - early XX century by Sergei Solovyov , Alexander Ramm , Victor and Clara lebedinskaya ; Russian icons collected Chuvanovym Mikhail and Tatyana Mavrina collection of bronze sculptures animalistic Russian and foreign masters of the XIX century Evgenia Stepanova ; Meeting of Russian and Western European glass from antiquity to the 30 - ies of the XIX century, Theodore and Catherine Lemkul , the legacy of the greatest masters of the Russian avant Alexander Rodchenko and Varvara Stepanova , David Shterenberg , Alexander Tischler and nonconformist artists Dmitry Krasnopevtsev Vladimir Weisberg , Edward Steinberg collection Vsevolod Nekrasov , the gifts of our compatriots Nikita and Nina Lobanov- Rostov and other gatherings .

In the second building of the Division of Private Collections (street Volhonka , 8 ) will be the original exhibition project " apartment -museum ", which will allow the viewer to immerse themselves in authentic private spaces of artists, architects and collectors , where everyday objects and works of art will create a special creative atmosphere .

The master architect Jacob Chernihova (1889-1951) will appear in the form of an office drawer - dreamer about the architecture of the future apartment Sanovich collector Igor (1923-2010) - as carefully constructed art installation of museum-quality works of art .

Leonid Tishkov ( r.1953 ) show its spatial study , which inspired him to find an obscure archive of artist 1920s Dmitry Tarkhova atmosphere family home Sternberg - Alfeevskogo will be reflected in the three-dimensional reconstruction of the workroom , where he spent several generations of artists .
