I saw pictures of the master in the Museum of Contemporary Art in Yerevan, is a unique artist and a man, such, alas, is rarely seen today .. paintings he began to draw when he was 50 years, he managed to create about 60 (+/-) masterpieces. The bulk of the collection of the family, also in the ISI Yerevan, some work in private collections and captive (he enjoyed huge success at the abductors during his lifetime).
Outstanding work - Waiting (3 variants created by the picture, we know the location of only one to date), Nostalgia, The Last Supper, Abandoned, etc. ..

Valentin Podpomogov was born April 29, 1924 in Yerevan.
Since 1940 - worked on "Armenfilm" production designer feature films.
In 1967 - organized at this studio and began to shoot multtseh animated films. He was one of those who contributed to the revival of the Armenian animation in the late 60's.
He was the chief designer of the Yerevan city hall.
    * Honored Artist of Armenian SSR (1966)
    * State Prize Winner of the Armenian SSR
Has passed away July 18, 1998 in Yerevan.
