Adolf Kosarek ( chesh. Adolf Kosárek; January 6, 1830 , Geralets , Moravia - October 30, 1859 , Prague) - Czech painter .

A. Kosarek began to draw as a child, but the cramped life circumstances did not allow him to devote himself at once artistic creativity . Only with the financial support of the Archbishop of Prague B.Shvartsenberga and aged over 20 years Kosarek comes at the Prague Academy of Fine Arts . Was a disciple and follower of art school Max Haushofer . Especially was known as a landscape painter ; artist painted his canvases in late- style , his later works are close to realistic painting. A. Kosarek traveled a lot , visited Bavaria , the Alps ; in 1856 - the island of Ruegen. Many of his works are exhibited in the National Gallery in Prague.
