Nikolai Zhukov 12/02/1908 - 09/23/1973 Born in Moscow , Soviet graphic artist , People's Artist of the USSR (1963), corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Arts (1949). Member of the CPSU since 1945 . He studied at the School of Industrial Art in Nizhny Novgorod ( 1926-28 ) and Saratov ( 1928-30 ) . Since 1943 artistic director of the Studio of military artists .
