Very interesting thing . It belongs to the American period of the master .
During the Second World War Burliuk created several works on the subject , such as " Children of Stalingrad" (1944) , which is sometimes referred to as burlyukovskoy " Guernica ."
This series of works and still life refers to the map. Captured on canvas still life with flowers and a card fighting. This simple motif keeps information about one of the key battles of WWII. Judging by this picture the artist continuously monitors the progress of actions. The map shows the disposition of troops after the Battle of Kursk. And on the map shows the main directions of the Soviet offensive in the autumn of 1943
