Vladimir Proshkin was born July 11, 1931 in Leningrad artists. His parents - Belakovskiy Markovna Victoria (1901-1965) and Proshkin Viktor Nikolaevich (1906-1983) - were known painters Leningrad , Leningrad VHUTEINa graduates .
He studied at the Art School (1944-1945) , the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after Ilya Repin ( 1951-1957 ) . He studied with Alexander Zaitsev , Vasily Sokolov , Leonid Khudiakova . In 1957 he graduated from the Institute workshop Boris Johanson with the rank of artist painting. Diploma work - paintings, " Bay of the Barents Sea " and " In the forest land " . [3]
Participated in exhibitions since 1957 , exhibiting their works together with the works of the leading visual artists of Leningrad. He painted landscapes , genre scenes , still lifes . Works in oil painting , watercolor , book illustration , industrial graphics and decorative art . In 1958 he became a member of the Leningrad Union of Artists. Since 1997, member of the Society of St. Petersburg watercolorists .
At the turn of the 80s and 90s of Vladimir Proshkina comprising exhibitions of works by Leningrad artists were presented to European audiences in a number of international exhibitions [20][21].
Solo exhibitions of works by Vladimir Proshkina held in 1977 (Leningrad, LOSH ) , 1997 (St. Petersburg , Russian Pushkin Museum ) 2001 ( St. Petersburg, "Manezh " ), 2004 ( Moscow, State Museum of AS Pushkin ) [22] , respectively. In 2002 he was awarded the medal "For merits before Fatherland » II degree. [23] In 2011, Vladimir Proshkin was awarded the honorary title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. Works of Vladimir Proshkina are Russian Museum in St. Petersburg , in museums and private collections in Russia , Latvia, Estonia, France [24] , Italy, Finland , Israel, Japan , the UK [22] and other countries.
