Lidia Gagarin ( April 13, 1902 , Saratov - June 20, 1984 , Leningrad) - Soviet Russian painter and graphic artist, member of the Leningrad Union of Artists.

Born in Saratov. In 1920-1925 in Tsaritsyn ( April 10, 1925 was renamed Stalingrad ) studied at the city art courses ( 1930 - Stalingrad College of Fine Arts ) . In 1928-1929 worked in the Leningrad Art School . In 1929 entered the painting department of the Leningrad VHUTEINa . Engaged in M. Bobyshova , R. Frentz , Goncharov . In 1933 graduated from the institute , defended a thesis on the script "Front continues." Awarded the title of artistic director . Participated in exhibitions since 1925. Member and exhibitor AHRR - AChRs . Since 1938 member of the Leningrad Union of Artists . She painted landscapes , portraits, genre paintings . During the war was among the defenders of Leningrad , participated in the blockade of Leningrad artists exhibitions . In the postwar years, worked in oil and tempera painting, autolithographies book illustrations. Personal exhibition of works in Leningrad in 1936 , 1967 and 1969 .
Lidia Gagarin died June 20, 1984 in Leningrad at the eighty -third year
