Leon Zeitlin was born in Moscow in 1885. At fifteen years old ( in 1900 ) he entered the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, where he studied with Sergey Ivanov and Alexei Mikhailovich Korin . While still a student traveled a lot , especially frequented in Europe. During one of these trips in 1909 (after graduating from college in 1908 ) emigrated and has since lived in France.
He died in Paris in 1962 .
