Vinterovsky Leonard (Winterowsky Leonard, 1886 - 1927 )

    Ukrainian and Polish painter and graphic artist. Worked in battle genre , created genre scenes , portraits, landscapes . Also studied monumental painting and book graphics . Born in Chernivtsi. In 1894 - 1895 he studied at the Krakow Academy of Fine Arts , was nagradzhen silver medal. Later he continued his studies in Vienna. Lived in Warsaw and Lvov. He actively participated in exhibitions in Poland and Germany . Posthumous exhibition creator took place in 1928 in Warsaw. His works are kept in the Lviv National Art Gallery , the National Museum in Warsaw , Lublin XM , Sikorski Museum in London.
