Verey George S. (1886 - 1962)
 
Prominent Russian plot, draftsman, lithographer , etcher . Engaged in portraits, landscapes , still life , an expert engraving . Professor of the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts. The initial art education in the studio Schrader in Kharkiv (1895 - 1904). In 1913 he entered into a new art studio in St. Petersburg, where he studied with Boris Kustodiev , A. Ostroumova -Lebedeva , EELansere , MVDobuzhinsky . Member of the association " World of Art" from 1915 and " Four Arts " . He taught at the Academy of Arts. People's Artist of the RSFSR ( 1962), winner of the State Prize of the USSR (1946). He created a gallery of portraits of famous artists , writers , actors, scholars of his time.

Sold in one lot all 24 of the sheet.
