Biography:
March 7, 1891 ( p. Makarov Kiev province . ) - January 5, 1973 (Paris). Painter.
Received a traditional Jewish education . In seven years, lost his father . In 1905, attended a private art school AE Sabatovskogo in Kiev, at the same time he worked in a canning factory.
In 1912 he went to Paris and worked at «La Ruche. Attended the Academy Grand Chaumiere and F. Colarossi . He studied sculpture under the guidance of the Polish- French artist and art historian Marek Schwarz . Friends with P. flint, Modigliani and other artists of Montparnasse . In 1926 he married Vera Kremer , the daughter of a famous Jewish leader, the party's founder Bund Arkady Kremer . In 1928-1932 he lived with his wife in Vilna in -law . In 1934-1942 rented workshop on the street d'Odessa in Montparnasse. In 1942-1944 was hiding from the Nazis in a family of friends in the department of Dordogne.
After the war he participated in the exhibition organized by committee "France - USSR » XIV arrondissement of Paris (1945), and the exhibition " In honor of Victory" , organized by the Union of Soviet Patriots ( 1946).
