NUTS Tolstoy (1913-1992)
He was born on November 8, 1913 in Tula.
In 1932 he came to Leningrad .
He graduated from the Institute named after Ilya Repin (1933-1939) by the studio of Alexander Osmerkin , studying with B.Fogelya , S.Abugova and Pavlovsk .
Member of the Union of Artists since 1946.
He taught at the Leningrad Art School (1940-1941) , the College named Mukhina (1946-1949) , in the graphic arts teacher training college .
Since 1939 he has participated in exhibitions of Leningrad artists .
In 1997, the work of Smith participated in the exhibition "In memory of the teacher " of St. Petersburg artists - students of Alexander Osmerkin in St. Petersburg.
The works of Smith are in museums and private collections in Russia , France, Germany, the U.S. and other countries.
