His first collection of poems , Pushkin began composing while still in the Lyceum . The manuscript collection , made ​​up of the best of his early poems , was ready for publication in April 1820. But a publisher for his poet could not find. Pushkin soon lost in the cards this manuscript to his friend , NV Vsevolzhsk , who also failed to publish it . Only at the end of 1824 Pushkin able to buy the manuscript collection at Vsevolzhsk , process it , and prepare to print again .

In the sale of "Poems of Alexander Pushkin" received December 30, 1825 shortly after the Decembrist uprising . The title page of the book is printed the epigraph of Propertius , which in translation means: " At an early age extolled love , and later - the confusion ." In the midst of Investigation Department of the case on December 14 Pletnev brought the book was already very sick Karamzin .
