Many years ago , displayed either on the Art-Arena or HUDGRAF (can not remember , but both shows still do not exist anymore ), these Red sailors were for me a revelation. This point hit, focused expressionism . They replayed it. The poor were their neighbors in the stands - within a radius of 15 meters was something to hang useless .

It's like with Bacon - enough to see once to remember forever . Two or three colors , no extra parts , all told in the faces and poses.

This time Zhernoklyuev showed how well recognizable and less typical things for themselves . There are a couple of self-portraits . And there are interesting sketches in which the natural incompleteness converted into a new special quality .
