Lev Abramovich Chazz (real name Katz, 29 April 1914, Chisinau Bessarabia province - October 17, 1980, ibid) - Moldavian Soviet art critic, literary scholar and critic. Doctor of Philology (1960), Professor of the Kishinev State University.

Leo Katz was born in Chisinau, the Romanian graduated high school there. In 1939 he graduated from the literary and philosophical faculty of the University of Jassy.
