Vladimir Naumets was born in Lviv in 1945. From 1959-64 he studied at the Odessa Art School. In 1970 he graduated from the Moscow Higher School of Industrial Art (Stroganov). He was a member of the Moscow City Committee of Graphic Artists at Little Georgia. In the late 1970's - early 1980's - participated in rallies in Moscow Conceptual artists. He worked on a monumental mosaic projects in Germany and Greece. Since 1998 Member of the International Association of Art-Mosaic (AIMCA), Ravenna, Italy.
He lives and works in Germany. The work of Vladimir Naumtsev are in art museums in Bern, Vienna, New York, Odessa.
