About the artist:

He graduated from the Geological Department of Leningrad State University (1961 -1966) , worked as a geologist - prospector . Painting began in 1963 . In the 1964 -1965 period . - Volunteer MVPHU . Made friends with V. Nemukhin and Rabin . Big role in his creative destiny played a familiarity with N.Dodzhem , collector of unofficial Soviet art. First exhibition Rukhin passed in 1966 in the foyer of the theater, Leningrad , and in 1967 he had his first solo exhibition in New York in the gallery Betty Persons , followed by dozens of others. Rukhin - party and one of the organizers of the famous "Bulldozer " exhibition in Belyaevo (Moscow , 1974). Died in a fire in his own studio in 1976 . After the death of the artist his family left for the United States and exported to save your work . Exhibition of the artist took place in Europe, the USA , Japan, Israel , and with the post-perestroika era in Russia.
