The first Russian edition of this type. For its preparation bookseller M. Ya Paradelov (1868-1913) sent letters of inquiry to two thousand prominent book lovers , a quarter of whom responded . On the basis of their responses was compiled a reference book often , in addition to the respondent's name and address, a brief description of the meeting , indications of its quantitative composition, the presence of doublets and bookplates .

A copy is in very good condition, in a good deaf -bound 1920s of dark blue fabric . The pre-war press of the State Historical Museum in Moscow ( decommissioned instance ) .
