During the Second World War he was a Luftwaffe pilot on the Eastern Front, and his plane was shot down over the Crimea. He saved the local inhabitants, who fed him with honey, smeared with fat and wrapped him in felt. This event predopredilo his life and work. Based on this episode, he created his own "personal mythology", which contains those substances - honey, fat, felt. Creativity Boyce should "help society to be healed of their diseases."
