Tsuguharu Fujita (1886-1968), also known as Leonard Fujita (in 1959 he converted to Christianity and was baptized under the name of Leonard) - artist of Japanese origin, belonging to the first Parisian school.

Not that I am somehow particularly fond of this artist, but still Fujita, make friends with Modigliani, Paskin, Soutine and Leger, was very well known in the interwar years, he should know.
After his solo exhibition in 1918, Fujita was famous and, unlike his friends, began to earn big money. In particular, when Zborowski organized a trip to the south of France with the intention to sell the work of his friends wealthy tourists, the entire company lived on the money Fujita as rich tourists reacted to the idea Zborovsky without proper understanding.
In 1930-ies. He traveled to Latin America and organized its exhibitions, had a very big success - they collected these tolry.
From 1933 to 1949 he lived in Japan, where he performed several cycles of frescoes. After the war he returned to France.

Referring to Catholicism, he decided to build a Romanesque chapel in Reims (with financial support from his godfather Rene Laloux, leader manufacturer of champagne Mammy) of the Blessed Virgin of Peace (Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix), on the design which he worked until the end life.

A few words about why I do not sit yourself quietly, and put here all these branches with the artists who obviously are interested in a very small number of visitors to this forum.

For nearly a century that the will of fate - and their rulers - Russia has found itself in cultural isolation, which could not bring it to the full provincialism. In order for the cultural integration of Russia was made possible, first of all, we must catch up, watch, learn, analyze. Watch - this is the first step, and I think that it can be useful, offering you the artists that you may not know. And then - this is a matter of drowning themselves.

We must, in my opinion, understand that at some point Russia's collectors come out to the world market and thus the world level. Actually, the beginning of this trend already observed. In the most knowledgeable participants in this market will be more likely not to be left behind.

That's why when I put the work of Vieira da Silva, must, I think, do not spit, and watch, or at least at first look, try to understand, and then he spit in the understanding of the case. But in general, of course, business master
:)

I'm afraid you are grossly mistaken about provintsii.Vse that you show no doubt very interesting, but I know for example, and then with respect to the latest trends, too. Were interesting publications on current trends as early as 1970., So someone knew about them before me. In general, I became a painter when acquainted with impressionism. Many artists Deineka example been abroad before and many simply out of La Rusch.
I would like to learn about contemporary artists in Paris, as Garoust, Monory, Combas, Debre.

LCR, please - on many of the paintings depicted a cat. This is connected with the cult of cats in ancient philosophy, or is it just pets Fujita?

But what of the living creatures in the painting with the Mexican (№ 6) is not understood.

I think that this is a collective image of the cat-fox.:)
