Armen Grigor'yants was born in Uzbekistan , in 1939 he graduated from the Leningrad Art - pedagogical school. About two hundred performances Grigor'yants designed in theaters in Moscow , Tashkent , Vilnius, Yerevan , Kiev and Dnepropetrovsk.

Since 1953, the work of Armen Grigoryants was inextricably linked with the Belarusian theater. For a long time he worked as chief designer of the State Russian Drama Theatre of Belarus , and since 1962 - the chief artist of the Belarusian Academic Theatre of Yanka Kupala .

Armen Grigor'yants also designed the drama, opera , children's shows and movies of the Belarusian cinema. Among the performances, designed the "Nightingale" Zmitroka Byadulya , "King Lear, " Shakespeare, "Optimistic Tragedy" Vsevolod Vishnevsky and many others.

Armen Grigor'yants died in 1976.
