The representative of the Russian Art Nouveau and Symbolism . He studied at the Central School of Technical Drawing of Baron AL Stieglitz (1888-1891) in KY Kryzhitsky and at the Academy of Fine Arts (1894-1897) at A , I. Kuindzhi . He took part in the exhibitions " World of Art ", " Union of Russian Artists" , AHRR , was a founding member ( in 1925-1930 . - Chairman ) of the Company named after AI Kuindzhi . He worked as an illustrator (the magazine " Siskin" , 1936 V. Bianchi book "Tower " , 1936, and "Tales of Trapper " , 1937). Wrote a book of essays about nature, having issued its own watercolors ( "When it happens ," 1936). Since 1902 active as a teacher at the Drawing School of the Society for the Encouragement of Arts, the Academy of Fine Arts. Were posthumously published "Memories" Artist ( 1960). His works are in the Tretyakov Gallery, in many regional museums .
