Nicholas Avenirovich Chabounine (one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six -1907)
 From the family of a priest. Was a volunteer at IAH - Higher Art School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture at IAH (1886-1896) in the studio of Ilya Repin. In 1894 he was awarded two small incentive medals. In 1899, for the painting "Waiting" was the title of the artist.

Lived in St. Petersburg. He painted portraits, landscapes, genre paintings, paintings on historical subjects, photographs, creating the image of the church. Since the early 1900s regularly made trips to the Russian North, sketched monuments ecclesiastical tradition, collecting ethnographic materials. He participated in the creation of a museum of Alexander Suvorov in St. Petersburg, has visited "Suvorov place" in the Novgorod province, has created a series of works on the theme of life Suvorov at his estate in Konchanskoe. For now "out of the village of Suvorov Konchanskoe in 1799" was awarded the Order of St.. Stanislaus 3rd degree (1903).

The author of the article "The northern edge of his life: travel notes and impressions on the northern Arkhangelsk region" (Collection Department of Russian Language and Literature of the Imperial Academy of Sciences. St. Petersburg., 1908, Vol LXXIV, № 1).

The works are in several museum collections, including the State Russian Museum, Arkhangelsk Museum of Fine Arts, and others.
