Painter, graphic artist and designer. Member roar. movement in Latvia , in 1917 he served in the protection of the Smolny and the Kremlin. In 1919-21 he studied at the studios and I.Mashkov K.Korovin , graduated from Moscow. VHUTEMAS (1921). Exhibitions since 1918 . Constructivist member UNOVIS (1921), on -tions LEF ( 1923-28 ) and "October" ( 1928-32 ) . He taught in the Moscow . VHUTEMASe and Moscow . Polygraphic Institute ( 1924-30 ) . Pictorial works (" The Red Man " , 1918 " Axonometric Painting", 1920 , " Sleeping Woman " , 1932 "Self-Portrait " , 1935) , easel graphics, watered. Poster , Vol. ill. Arrested (1938 ) , died in the camp.
