Gury Zakharov Filippovich (1926 to 1994) was born in Kimry now Kalinin region. Schedule, Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1968). Laureate of the State Prize of the RSFSR (1981) studied at the Moscow Higher School of Industrial Art (1947-54) in E. Theis, VE Egorova, MA Markov, VP Komardenkova, VP Kiselyov. Graduated interior designer. In 1948 he visited the studio of the etching. Nivinsky (leader Theys ES). He was influenced by Vladimir Favorsky. 1954-1956 - worked as an architect, Architecture and Art Bureau of the Ministry of Shipbuilding Industry of the USSR, which designed the interiors of ships. Since 1957 - participant of art exhibitions. Since 1959 - Member of the Union of Artists. 1964-1981 - creative trip to Italy, Spain, Bulgaria, Tunisia, Morocco. He worked mainly in the technique linocuts and etchings. Creativity characteristic modern poetic feeling permeated the perception of reality, strict architectonic composition and rhythm, contrast matching black and white tones. The works are also in the State Tretyakov Gallery, Pushkin Museum, State Russian Museum, Yaroslavl Art Museum, Vologda Regional Art Gallery, Bryansk Regional Art Museum, etc.
