Ukrainian landscape painter . Born in Kiev. Primary education in Kiev Gymnasium artist I. Soshenko . In 1861 - 1868 - studied at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts, which became an academician in 1874, a professor - in 1878 . Worked in France , Germany, Switzerland and Italy. He took part in the activities of Kazan Chemistry School . He was one of the organizers of KCU . He died in Italy.
