30 years ago, when I was just starting to get acquainted with the creative legacy M.K.Sokolova , were still alive the first wife of the artist ( whose identity remained a matter of his early stuff ), and a wonderful person E.D.Tannenberg ( God rest her heaven) , for many years been stored at a large number of paintings and drawings by Sokolov ( including - and folders from his camp pictures ). After the death of ED all this wealth has been transferred to the collection of the Yaroslavl Art Museum. And they worked Nina Golenkevich . She later made ​​a wonderful exhibition Sokolov YAHM (aka , respectively , and one of the authors of academic catalog ).
