State Museum-Reserve "Tsaritsyno" invites journalists to a press screening and opening of the exhibition "UNION OF RUSSIAN ARTISTS. The story continues "


April 4, 2013 at the Grand Palais museum reserve "Tsaritsyno" will host an exhibition dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the Union of Russian Artists.

This creative organization existed in Russia in 1903-1923, respectively, and were united by such masters as Vasnetsov, Vrubel, Konstantin Korovin, Nicholas Roerich, M. Nesterov, and many other prominent artists. In 2008, the SRS has been recreated on the previous ideas and principles, again combining the best representatives of Russian realist school of painting.

Feature in the upcoming exhibition "Tsaritsyno" in the fact that, along with pictures of the old members will showcase the work of those authors who continued the tradition of this art organization in the XX century: Alexei Gritsai, Arcadia Plastov, Vladimir Stozharov, Nikita Fedosov, Grigory Chainikova. Many of the works of these artists will be on display to the public for the first time.

The opening will be the premiere of the documentary film "100 years of shared history," and the presentation of the book about one of the founders of the CPX - Basil Perepletchikova. By Art Market also published a monograph "100 years of shared history."


For visitors to the exhibition will be open from April 5 to May 26, 2013.
