He was born in Orenburg. He studied at the Imperial Academy of Arts ( 1896-1901/02 ). He lived in St. Petersburg. His work has been exhibited since 1900. A member of the Association of Traveling Art Exhibitions from 1903 Kuindzhi Society from 1905 to TPHV exhibited in 1900-1915 gg. In 1912 he received the title of academician. The master's works are in many private collections in Russia and abroad
