Krivoruchko Vasily (10.8.1919-17.11.1994) - painter, graphic artist, a member of the Artists' Union (1952), Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation (1979), winner of Sergius (1992), an honorary citizen of the city of Voronezh (1993). A veteran of World War II.
Vasily studied at the Kharkov Art College (1935-1939). In 1946 he continued his studies at the Moscow State Pedagogical Institute in the art and graphics department. In Voronezh - since 1951 Since 1937, participated in the regional, zonal, regional, all exhibitions. Solo exhibitions Krivoruchko repeatedly held in Moscow, different cities of Russia in Voronezh region. His major works - historical cycles, "Voronezh ship", "My Russia", "The Field of Kulikovo." In addition, Vasily created historical cycles "We Russian people", "In defense of the Motherland", "thistle lit the fire." Just Krivoruchko created a series of works based on trips to Europe, the Mediterranean and Africa. Vasily is known as an active fighter for the preservation of historical and cultural monuments. Papers of Krivoruchko are in museums of Moscow, Tula, Vladimir, Pskov, Krasnodar, Novosibirsk, private collections in Finland, Sweden, Belgium, the Czech Republic and the USA. Died in Voronezh.
