The Royal Academy of Arts in London recently held Freaky exhibition "Bronze" , which were exhibited works in bronze, created over the last 5000 years. Most of all I was struck by the Nigerian bronze XV century - until this exhibition was convinced that Africa XV century nothing steeper stone axes could not be.
Masochki And , yes , funny , but I'm afraid to buy them - it's all the same items of religious purpose , and who knows what demons are asleep until then ...

I do not know what is.
But apparently topic long withered, once appeared, as it turned out , too dysfunctional " African art ." Well there topikstarter tried.
Let's see how this will be .
If that does not survive , then such karma :D>

You know, in this case I am against the merger , it is because, if the topic for a long time "does not work ", that will not happen.

All around the city , just a handful of grapes,
This is - Buss, and okra , and the king of Timbuktu,
The very sound of those words to me, like the sun, joy,
Similarly drums, he wakes up the dream .

masochki And, yes, funny, but I'm afraid to fly - it's all the same items of religious purpose, and who knows what demons are asleep until then ...

Not boytes.Masochki that are sold to tourists - mostly ordinary souvenir junk.
These articles for religious services almost impossible kupit.Oni are public property of a particular people, nation, and passed on from generation to generation. Nobody has the right to dispose of them edinolichno.Eti items carry a mystical component t.k.uchastvovali in rituals, they represent the ancestral totem who sacrifice, and is accessed by all occasions.
Collection presented in museums and private collections were at 19, the first half of the 20th century, when the cult objects often simply seized by force.
Without a living participation in the rites they gradually lost its mystical power and today it's just material samples African cultures.
Today you can get a copy of the religious objects, but it is also very difficult t.k.predstaviteli tribes are afraid to transfer them into the wrong hands, for fear of the evil eye and other "unfriendly" manipulated by outsiders.

Магнолия 29.01.2013 13:59

tandem, do not you think that in African masks and accessed hidden likeness icons and prayers of Christianity, that you really do not casually mention of mysticism.
(Hopefully, the essence of the concepts of "similarity" and "mysticism", we mean the same).
