Recently, 71-year-old Peter Sachsen (Peter Sachs), residing in the U.S. state of Florida, sued the German Historical Museum, demanding to return the posters, selected by his father by the Nazis. Sachsen was only one year old when his father, Hans (Hans Sachs), a dentist of Jewish origin, were sent to concentration camps. Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels (Joseph Goebbels) ordered the confiscation of his collection of posters, which he collected over forty years. Collection numbers 12 and a half thousand rare posters and included works by such renowned authors as Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec) and Jules Cheret (Jules Chéret). Sachsen-elder, his wife and son managed to escape to the United States, but the posters remain in Germany. In 1990, more than four thousand posters from the collection of Hans Sachsen included in the collection of the German Historical Museum.
