Nonconformist artists . He studied at the Moscow City Art School ( 1946-49 ). . In 1949, the school was disbanded for formalism , and the students transferred to the school of 1905 , which Vechtomov graduated in 1951. His friends and classmates were Vladimir and Lydia Nemukhin Masterkova. In the mid-1950s, they entered into with Vechtomova Lianozovo . Its senior members were Oscar Rabin , Eugene Kropivnitsky Leo Kropivnitsky. Nicholas Vechtomov is among artists, which began with the revival of the avant-garde art in post-Stalinist Russia. The creative style of the artist formed in the early 1960s . His style is easily recognizable by the characteristic red and black color and smooth texture like lacquer painting. The master's works are in many museums and private collections.
