Levon Lazarev (1928-2004)

He graduated from the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, the Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts, Leningrad Higher Art and Industrial School. VI Fly (St. Petersburg State Art and Industry Academy). Member of the Union of Russian Artists. Works are in the collections of the State Russian Museum, St. Petersburg Museum of History St. Petersburg Foundation for Contemporary Art, "Manege", St. Petersburg, the Art Gallery of Armenia, Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Beethoven Museum in Bonn, Germany, as well as private collections in Russia and abroad. Levon Lazarev - author of numerous monuments erected in St. Petersburg (D.Kvarengi; Monument firefighters who died in the Great Patriotic War memorial plaques Louis Pasteur S.Dyagileva, F.Shaljapina, E.Mravinskogo). Recent major work - the monuments of Andrei Sakharov, Y.C.Bahu in St. Petersburg, S.Dyagilevu in Paris. However, his art - piercingly honest, expressive, persuasive - can take Lazarev, as one of the contemporary artists of St. Petersburg.
