Circassian Daniel Y. (1899 - 1971)
Painter, graphic artist, director, designer of animated films, theater artist, poster designer.
In 1917 he entered the Physics and Mathematics at Moscow University.
1918-1923 studied at the Higher Art. He worked as a production designer in the theater, including a Sun Meyerhold, a graphic artist in various publishing houses, designed holidays in Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod. He was one of the pioneers of the animated movie.
1926 joined the group of multipliers (Y. Merkulov, Ivanov-Vano, etc.) studio "Mezhrabpom-Rus" (from 1928 "Mezhrabpomfilm"). Supervised multmasterskoy film studio. Worked on the advertising and promotional videos.
In 1927 he made his debut as a director. With I. Ivanov-Vano developed technology "landscape method" and the method of relaying on engraved studs.
1930 he worked at the factory "Soyuzfilm" (Moskinokombinat, Mosfilm).
Since 1933 participated in exhibitions.
Since 1935 he devoted himself entirely to painting. He worked as a designer at VSHV.
