At yesterday's Sotheby's auction of 30 lots sold 22, more than 70%! Including the work of 95-year-old Marc Chagall for 1 385 250 pounds and a statuette of Degas (the casting was made after his death) for 13 257 250 pounds! Life goes on!

There were results of the first session of today's auction. All just fine - at the eye sold 75 per cent and almost all - above estimeyta. Of outstanding: Anquetin - 494000 measured at 200000, Renoir (27h25 cm) -223000 measured at 120000, Van Dongen - 385000 measured at 200000, Pechstein - 64000 to 25000 in the evaluation, Morandi (36h36) - 331000 measured at 220000 , drawing by Picasso - 481,000 in the evaluation of 200000, its oil is 646,000 instead of 380,000, Nolde watercolor - 121000 instead of 40000, Jawlensky - 386000 instead of 220000, Schwitters - 157000 instead of 60000, and his collage on paper (28h21) - 115000 instead of 40000, Boudin - 100000 instead of 40000.
