Yakov Romas Dorofeevich (1902, near Grodno - 1969, Astrakhan).
The adopted son of a revolutionary Inessa Armand. He studied in Moscow, in practical Prechistensky Institute (1922 - 1924) at the NP Krymov in VKhUTEMAS /VHUTEINe (1924-1930) at KN Istomin, SV Gerasimov, PP Konchalovsky. In 1924 - 1937 he worked as a theater artist, designed the celebrations in Moscow. Later he worked primarily as a landscape painter, specializing in river and sea views. By processing station "Krasnoselskaya" Moscow metro. The main artist-Union Agricultural Exhibition (1950-1954). Exhibitions since 1933. He taught at the Art School of 1905 (1932-1936), in MChTI them. Surikov (1948 - 1950). Stalin Prize (1948). Member of the Academy of Arts. Solo exhibition took place in Moscow (1945, 1952, 1961, 1962, 1967), Leningrad (1962), and other cities. Paintings Romas JD kept in the Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the Dresden Art Gallery, Astrakhan picture gallery named BM Kustodiev, in many regional museums in Russia.
