Alexei V. Hansen was born 02.02. (19.01st.st.) in 1876 in Odessa.

The collection comprises 400 paintings, among them works by Aivazovsky, Rembrandt, Meunier, Meyer, Eberle, Rafalta, Roerich, Burdanova, Brodsky, Dobuzhinsky, Vrubel and other artists.
AV Hansen emigrated from Russia in January 1920 and before he died 19/10/1937, he lived in his villa in Dubrovnik (Croatia). He was married first marriage to a widow Muruzi Olympics Vladimirovna.
