Painter and graphic artist. Member of the Academy of Arts. Hero of Socialist Labor. People's Artist of 1929 graduated SSSRV VHUTEIN in Moscow, studied at PV Miturich and NN Kupreyanov . Together with artists PN Krylov and N. Sokolov ( Kukryniksy ) worked in the satire of works on historical and revolutionary theme and the theme of the Great Patriotic War. Worked independently as a painter of landscapes, famous for full-scale landscapes of Western Europe: Paris, Rome , Venice and Naples. Lenin Prize winner , six of the USSR State Prize and the State Prize of the RSFSR. IE Repin. Paintings MV Kupriyanov are in the Tretyakov Gallery, the Pushkin Museum.
