He graduated from vocational schools Zaporizhzhya (1926) , studied in VHUTEMAS (Moscow, 1926-1927 ).
He studied at the Kiev Art Institute from F.Krichevskogo (1928-1932) , teacher specialty - V. Nevsky , M. Kuznetsov , L. Bruni , K. Eleva , E. Sagaidachny , F. Krichevsky .
Honored Artist of Ukraine ( 1948).
People's Artist of Ukraine ( 1951).
Member of the USSR Academy of Arts (1958).
Laureate of State Prize of the USSR (1949, 1950).
Full member of the Arts of the USSR (1958).
Professor HIC ( 1947-1960 ).
People's Artist of USSR ( 1974).
