Sotheby's declined from the sale of Russian art in New York
Auction house Sotheby's will no longer sell Russian paintings in New York. On Wednesday,
April 25, said Sonya Bekkerman, director of Russian art at Sotheby's in New York, at a press conference,
the opening pre-auction exhibition in Moscow.

Now the U.S. will be billed only Russian arts and crafts, as this segment is not interested
Only collectors from Russia, but also Americans. Russian paintings from this point on will only trade in London.
Bidding will continue to be held twice a year.

According to her, Russian art collectors live primarily in Moscow and in the UK capital. Employees of New York
department will continue to work in the U.S. but will choose paintings for clients in London.

In Moscow, also exhibited several instances of paintings by old masters, which will go under the hammer July 4 - two paintings
