Appeared catalog upcoming auction at Christie's. From such a long wait and the publicity was expecting something more. Surprised at the price of Modigliani drawing with the initial estimate: 30 thousand.
How strange, now gone to copy the link, and the directory is closed again. I wonder why?

Something estimate any strannyee: Monet (Female), Cézanne (Etude), Morandi, etc. - Pts. overstated, and at the same time, Degas - Crisis estimate? ... I think many Morandi and Leger did not sell and Kiriko - overstated ... Something is not clear that prices in the spring, whether fixed ?...: confused:

Yes, thank you, Frosya, I'm probably on the prices zamorandilsya ...

And the estimate for a collage by Matisse, when they both cost?!

fross 21.01.2009 22:27

Bidding can save only trinkets - disassemble for souvenirs.:) Especially since they cost almost as things of his fashion house:)

And how can it be signed by Degas, if it was cast in 1922godu, and Degas died in 1917? Maybe I misunderstood something?

  How many of them?: Rolleyes:

The answer is: 31
.... After Degas' death, his heirs, not deadlocked on inheritance, decided to cast 74 bronze sculptures of the 150 wax and mixed model technique. Was chosen Parisian firm A. A. Hébrard for such a delicate matter ....

.... and only 10 figures were in private hands. Therefore, in advertising the auction sale of 'Little Dancers' delivered as a "big deal".
Catch her if you can (Catch her if you can!) ...
