"Waist portrait of a man in a bib and a hat," dates back to 1626-1627 years. In 2006 the painting was exhibited at the exhibition "Rembrandt - Caravaggio", held at the State Museum in Amsterdam (Reyksmyuzeum).

Earlier, Christie's has already sold two works by Rembrandt. Picture of the "akimbo Man" in 2009, bought for 33.2 million dollars, and in 2000 "Portrait Elti Ulenburg" Rembrandt went for 28.6 million.
